Terms of Service

Chessskins provides cosmetic chess boards and pieces through its website and Chrome extension. It is independent of Chess.com. These beta terms need operator identity, applicable jurisdiction and legal review before public paid launch; they do not claim approval or compliance certification.

Using the beta

You may preview sets and save loadouts with a free account. All access is one subscription covering the published catalogue and subscriber-only channels inside our public Discord. Joining and participating in the public server is free. Subscriber channels are for discussions, sneak peeks, votes, and proposing ideas; ideas and votes do not guarantee production or delivery dates. Tournaments and cash prizes are not included.

Chessskins is an early-stage beta. Features and catalogue availability may change, and Chrome or Chess.com changes can interrupt compatibility. The extension changes appearance only; it does not provide chess advice, engine assistance, or a competitive advantage.

Your account

Use an account you control, keep credentials secure, and provide accurate information. Email/password accounts must be verified within 48 hours. Unverified accounts without billing activity are automatically deleted after that deadline. Verification is required before starting any subscription. Google sign-in may be connected to an existing authenticated account; connecting a provider does not create a new trial allowance.

Trials and recurring subscriptions

Eligible new subscribers may claim one seven-day trial with a payment method. Full subscription access begins only after our backend confirms eligibility. Previously trial-used payment methods cannot claim another introductory trial. If you are ineligible, we do not silently start a paid subscription: you must explicitly accept the regular paid offer.

The recurring price and interval appear on Pricing and during checkout. The first trial payment is seven days after activation; your account shows the date. A regular paid offer starts billing when payment is confirmed. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Stripe processes payments.

Cancel through Account settings before the next payment. Cancelling renewal keeps access until the actual trial or paid-period expiry. Failed payments do not extend the confirmed access period. Account deletion immediately cancels the subscription and ends access. Read Billing, cancellation and refunds for details.

Assets and responsible use

Subscription access lets you use the available skins through the supported extension, including in your own gameplay recordings. It does not transfer ownership of the artwork or permit resale or redistribution of the asset library. Do not bypass access checks, share accounts to evade subscription limits, or manipulate identities to claim repeated trials.

Support and changes

Use Support for beta help, billing questions and feedback. The Privacy Policy explains account, Discord and anti-abuse records, including retention after deletion. Material billing changes must be disclosed before acceptance; the price accepted at checkout governs that offer. Nothing here purports to remove rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
